Winds of March Journey/Perry tribute band
It can be very clique-y. The board isn't representing the entire membership, because you'll only get on the board if you're there at 4:30-6:30. That eliminates morning or night members. Can't buy anything if they're not there and it's only those times. Put in a vending machine, then. Last time I was there, the board stomped around the entire morning meeting. Loud whisper conversations. Rattling safes and money for HALF the entire time. That's extremely rude. Do that BEFORE or AFTER the meeting. Duh. It's not in accordance with the Tradition of "Our common welfare should come first...." Namely, the older, heavy blond lady. Talk, talk, talk, rattle, shuffle, jingle...again: MOST of the meeting. Way to help the newcomers, guys. Make them distracted and not want to go back b/c they CAN'T HEAR the speakers. This club is also LOADED, last I heard it was over 60k! I think there's a lot of nerve asking for more money, when they didn't give their share to the Central office, obviously. I believe it's 50% They're not even supposed to HAVE that much money; again, "Lest money, property or prestige divert us from our primary purpose." In the Traditions. That's very dishonest. Lying and greed makes for sick groups/clubs. Big books shouldn't be charged for newcomers. Particularly if they're rich that way. Look out for permit parking after 6pm-6am. But easily accessible by CTA at Fullerton or Armitage (closer). If you're gay, NTAC is fairly close at Sheffield and Belmont. And there's also the Mustard Seed, which has a lot of black members. LPAC is pretty white/yuppie. Many very high-class problems.

There is a 2pm Thursdays, a 430, a 6pm.and an 8. Normally there's a 430, a 6 and 8pm weekdays.
They do both, last I'd heard.
Not really. But they have parties and such for holidays.
Type in Lincoln Park Alano Club and click website. It's all there v
Street parking only. A lot of the area is permit parking for residents, so look for signs. It is very close to the CTA brown line, the red line is a few blocks North, and the Armitage bus is also right there. If you are a first timer, you can always call the AA central office at 180 N Wabash (24 hour number if you need to talk), and see if they can't have someone help you to get to a meeting. Suggestion: go early before permit parking is in effect at 6pm.
