But to make sure our patients would be reimbursed through their dental insurances, we can file insurance claims so you could directly receive a check to the maximum amount of your covered benefits. The answer is absolutely yes. If the implant has enough strength, a temporary crown would be placed on the implant. If the implant does not have adequate strength, then a temporary tooth could be attached to adjacent teeth or a removable temporary could be made. All things considered, we do understand that how important it is for the patient to leave our office with a replacement tooth for the purpose of "Looks and Function" therefore we would make sure this desire is accomplished and met. Our goal is to make sure you receive the dentistry you need in an absolutely comfortable, pain and anxiety free environment. After checking you medical history we can provide you with light or moderate sedation, laughing gas or medications that makes you groggy and keep you comfortable during the procedure. In majority of cases, patients do not even remember the day of their appointment.
With today's technology we are able to provide you with a crown at the same visit. After the tooth is prepared the impression is made using an optical camera, no more goo and impression material is used. The crown is designed, made and crystallized in about one hour and could be delivered right away. CEREC is the system that we use in our office. Therefore, there is no need for waiting for weeks so the crown is fabricated in a lab and delivered to office at a later date, bearing with a temporary crown in the meantime.
