The tavern is a wonderful fort worth staple restaurant with great management and really nice staff. Also, they have the best key lime pie in town.

Great atmosphere, food is good, a lil expensive for two people, but your in the TCU area so what would you expect.

Order curbside I heard this place was really good! Decided to give it a try. They told me my order would be ready in 30 minutes. By the time I got there the fries were barely warm and not crispy. Ordered the pastrami pile high sandwich (not pile high) although it was good but not worth $16.00. Also got the house salad which was highly recommended by the person who answered the phone. It’s very small for $9.00 just a handful of mix green, one small cucumber slice and 2 cherry tomatoes and small slice of avocado ( very small kids thumb size slice) dressing was to die for but salad was not worth the price, also highly recommended was the tres leche cake that was $6.00 now that’s definitely worth the price. I would not recommend ordering out. Probably best dine in. The food would be nice and hot and fries would probably be crispy. I would probably try the dine in next time. Definitely, not curbside again.

A pretty good experience on a Sunday Evening. The service was good, not great. Atmosphere was well above average. The food - was good, but was very expensive for what it was. So not sure that they will be tops on our places to go. Just did not see the value, but others may. I had the Barbeque Chicken - Essentially 2 small chicken breasts with over cooked BBQ sauce on top, ok coleslaw, a and yes a deviled egg, and a 1.5" x 1.5" piece of cornbread (maybe 2x2) Another had the "Famous" Pastrami Sandwich - I'll add a picture of it "piled high??????" of note: It was served cold not even warmed. Also, the Steak Tacos - my daughter seemed to like it - that's all I got. And the last one was the Steak Salad. Water to drink with lemon upon request. Again, not that it us bad, but there are better options for the price.
