After four transfers I finally got in contacted with the Boyd Police department to report a Semi Truck Driver that was driving on the wrong side of the road and almost had a head on collision with. Ran my car off the road to avoid this head on collision, my two year old was in the back seat at the time. We were on our way to his doctors appointment. Driver was a white male with a baseball cap on. Driver was not even looking at the road he was looking down. Driver never stopped and kept going. Gave the licence plate number to the officer/ dispatcher and told her that the Red Semi Truck pulled into the construction area where they are building the new church. Behind the dollar store on Boyd rd. Less than a minute away from the police department. She said because i couldn't provide the street number where the incident occurred all they could do is keep an eye out for him. Its sad that an actual accident has to occur for anyone to do anything! Whatever happened to preventing a possible future or worse, a fatal accident?

Outstanding group of officers up there honest, trustworthy and reliable! Captain Pedro always has a smile on his face and that is unless you’re endangering the citizens of our lil slice of heaven. The police chief Mr. Dewayne Taylor goes above and beyond for the community each and every day! Not only is he the best chief of police this city has ever known, but he is also the best public works director this city has ever had and makes me proud to live in the best lil city in the Texas. And if y’all haven’t been by there in a While you might ought to stop in and see that beautiful brand new bullet proof piece of glass for the reception area for the safety of our officers and the secretary .

Just had a very unpleasant, dehumanizing, and unconstitutional traffic stop with officer R. Fletcher. The reason for the stop was my front license plate was on the dashboard of my car, because my bumper broke off in a flash flood. Fletcher decides it is appropriate to call in a K9 unit with absolutely no valid reason. This is where it became illegal, as I waited near half an hour for the unit to arrive(see 1. Absent reasonable suspicion, police extension of a traffic stop in order to conduct a dog sniff violates the Constitution’s shield against unreasonable seizures - From Rodriguez v United States, 2015) and the K9 then provided a false "positive" signal, which led them to search my vehicle. Of course they didnt find anything, as I had nothing on me! Now not only am I now very stressed out by being treated like this, but I also had my time wasted, was late to work, AND wasted YOUR tax dollars. Last time I checked they are civil servants, not interrogators, and we should speak out against this kind of behavior in our communities.
