Took my daughter in for a sore throat that she had on and off for almost 2 weeks, because getting a sick appointment at the pediatrician is almost impossible these days. We checked in and everyone was exceptionally nice, don't get me wrong. They were super busy with only 1 doctor. We waited 2 hours (better than ER time) but the doctor literally came in for 5 minutes looked at her throat said it was red and irritated but it was just viral. Never tested her for anything. Fast forward 2 days and we finally got an appointment at the pediatrician because my daughter couldn't handle the pain any longer. I explained we were at urgent care and what they said. That it's been on and off. They said for a sore throat to last 2 weeks, consistent or not raises some concern. Not even seconds after swabbing her for strep, did it pop up positive. Had the doctor taken the 2 seconds to swab her at urgent care, we could have spaired the additional pains associated with strep. Just frustrated that 2 seconds seemed too much for them.

The front desk was nice. They were polite and patient. The nurses and doctors on the other hand seemed inexperienced. From saying one thing and typing another in the digital files, to tone and body gestures. Certain jobs can be draining and it’s understood, but the minor errors can easily effect someone’s medical treatments. I was diagnosed with covid, when I had gone in for kidney stone assistance. A friend went in for her sons ears and they said he had bronchitis in his digital file for that visit, even though they told her he was having ear infections. Professionalism isn’t just mannerisms but performing thorough job requirements. The 1 star is for the fact the facility is open on a Sunday and the front desk, everyone else needs training and gets 0 stars.

No you don't. Walk in appts for minor illnesses and injuries. But you need an appt to see their specialist. They have a wide range of doc there. Examples are OBGYN for women and Cardiologist to name a few.
Just talked to them today about getting an appointment to get the covid test and they said just walk in.
