i absolutely LOVE Dr. Kaminski! she is so sweet and caring. however, about a month or so ago, i took my baby (3 months at the time) to the office for a sick visit. Dr. Kaminski was not there that day so they told me i would have Dr. Bobbie M. i had a terrible experience with her. she had an attitude with me and made me feel stupid for bringing her in. i had told her my daughter was acting weird, had a slight cough, and was nonstop crying which was not like her. i thought it was teething but just wanted to be sure being i am a first time mom. at first she had told me “obviously she’s not teething because her gums are not red” i had asked about when she does start teething how much tylenol can i give her and she just kept saying “well she’s not teething” and i said “yes but when she starts how much” and she continued to say that she’s not teething. then when she was checking my daughters ears and told me to have her lean back against my chest. my daughter was turning her head and she grabbed her head to hold it still and she started screaming. she was very very aggressive with her the entire visit. my daughter continued to scream and this doctor was sitting there snickering saying “does she always do this” and i said no it’s because you were holding her head. then she told me to try to nurse her but she wouldn’t latch because she was crying so much. and she said so she’s not latching her gums are just in pain because she’s teething so give her 2.5 mL of tylenol. which is the total opposite of what she said in the beginning. when we got to the car, i noticed my daughter had red marks on her head from where this “doctor” was holding her still. i was infuriated. only come here for Dr. Kaminski.

This place has been in a downhill spiral ever since Dr. Kromash left. He actually cared. A lot of the people there are nice and still care but Dr. Kaminski has been a constant pain in the backside ever since Kromash left.

The absolute worst pediatric office I’ve ever heard of. I haven’t taken my son here for a sick appointment in literally years because they never have any available (supposedly). It’s impossible to get anything filled out or signed and seeing a specialist takes months (or may never happen) which is why at 9 years old my autistic son has been to see a developmental pediatrician ONE time (it took them FIVE YEARS to get him in to see her and when we finally met her via telehealth, she was useless anyway). The receptionist staff is lazy, they take two hours for lunch (they can't install an answering machine?) and sometimes “forget” to plug the phone back in when they return, and the office constantly seems to be drowning in the oceanic depths of their own incompetence. How many overpaid staff members does it take to remember to keep the vaccine fridge plugged in and the phones turned on? Nurses vary from rude to outright cruel and seem to have no patience and no clue how to address a special needs child; which is fascinating considering how hard they push for Early Intervention. The office is greedy, taking on new patients when they obviously can't handle the ones they have; and they are more than happy to take payment from low-income families but their bias is apparent and those who don't have private insurance are treated like garbage. I had hoped for matters to improve when Dr. Bigelow joined the staff, but no such luck. The actual pediatricians are okay, I suppose, if you can ever get in to see them - we can’t. Wellness visits are never available. I waited all day for a phone call for a sick appointment which never came and when I finally called them 5 minutes before closing I was informed they were “short-staffed.” As if any parent with a sick child cares about that. Glad I kept my kid home from school and canceled all our plans for nothing - next time I’ll just take him to Patient First like I usually do, instead of wasting my time with these fools. Unfortunately, they make trying to leave next to impossible; charging outrageous fees seemingly at a whim for the patient records that rightfully belong to us anyway; another reviewer paid $10 for their records which is still too much, but we were told the fee was $25 - where does that extra money go?

I should have read the reviews....totally accurate. No sick visit appointments...so what is the point. I just moved here and transferred records. In 9 months I have called twice for sick visits and am just told no availability and to go to KOP urgent care or other. In one case chest pain and the other ended up in shingles...so not insignificant. I also tried to schedule a sports physical and because I was a new patient they cancelled my appointment with out my consent and told me to call the other office and get it because the well visit was within the calendar year. Now if that is the process OK but how about some support and communication. AND the appoint cancelation reason code was "Patient Cancel- No reason Given". So they are hiding their incompetency by blaming it on me. I just figured the reputation of CHOP would carry over to a level of quality I was accustomed to at CHOP Springfield (5 stars). The contrast in unbelievable. Don't waste your time and effort...they certainly don't. (I do agree that Dr. Kaminski is the only positive here.)
