What is "reformed theology"

Matthew Kyle | Nov 5, 2019
Brian McDaniel | Nov 5, 2019

It ties back to Martin Luther and his theses that caused a split from the Catholic Church way back when. Forgiveness for sin is by grace alone, by faith alone, and there is nothing you can do apart from the work Christ did on the cross to atone for sin. That is the reformed part. It provides a more personal faith that gives you a direct line to God, as opposed to having a priest be your advocate to God. However, belief in this vein of theology makes light of the fact that it's God's ultimate choice to save you for his own glory, and that you have no free will apart from what is in his full "plan". Hopefully that helped 🤙
