Coach Jackson is great. My son and I have trained under him from the beginning. My son is now very proficient and training with the adults now. The class sizes are perfect. Having separate classes for different skill levels is great!

I walked into North Star MMA gym less than a week ago. I have zero experience, and have always wanted to do martial arts of some sort but never worked up the courage to walk into a gym. I finally made the commitment and showed up to North Star and 20 minutes into my first class, I knew I would be joining as a full time member. Coach Jackson has been super knowledgeable, informative and patient in his coaching style with a beginner like me. Every member I have met has also been super helpful and welcoming. Cannot recommend this gym enough!!

Hi there! The enrollment options are varied--but generally the academy does not offer a "per class" basis as there is too much information to cover, and we expect students to be training 2-3x/week on average. The academy does occasionally host in-house events, as well as participate in larger events throughout the country at the professional and amateur level.
Yup! My 10 year old has been going for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for years and there are several older kids in her classes as well.
