Great place, it's fascinating that you can be a guest lighthouse keeper and give tours. It's a long hike, a little over 11 miles round trip but we'll worth it. Plan on the day and beware of the tides. Best to set out just before low tide or at the end of high tide.

Was expecting to be able to go up to the top of the lighthouse, but it was closed to visitors. They had a couple rooms with some historical background and artifacts, which was interesting. Bring a sweatshirt...the hike can be windy and cold.

11.2 mile walk on the spit and at the end is a beautiful lighthouse built in the late 1800’s. Bring food and water on your hike.

A 5-mile walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse along a sandy and rocky spit covered with every beautiful size and type of driftwood. Wonderful people give tours of the lighthouse and the view from the top is stunning! We said dolphins and seals playing in the water, so precious. Lighthouse grants are immaculately maintained. And there is a bathroom in case you need it! They appreciate donations, but but tour is free.

We went there last week and the public restrooms were open.
Yes. Visit the website for information on the Keeper Program. And FYI both the museum and the tower are open. Clallam County requires masks for all indoor activities so come prepared.
Walking is the only way unless you pay to stay there for a week. If you decide to stay, they will shuttle you out there on an ATV with all of your supplies. It sounds pretty cool.
