This is the second time that Kim, from the longview location has reached out to me offering me entry level highschool graduate jobs. I've already asked her to please read my resume and only contact me with roles that fit. She has repeatedly offered me roles paying 50k less a year than I currently make. My skills and certifications are in career fields that offer base salaries of 80k+ a year. She's offered me one for 16.00ph, after asking her to offer ONLY living wage. She came back with 16.50. Please have your recruiters brush up on the basics of recruiting. Read the resumes, step one....that's where she needs to know to start. It's insulting. Train your employees. Even better, when this company responds they use terms like "we want to solve this problem, if it exists." That should tell you a lot. First you're mistreated, then they call you a liar and make false promises of "investigation". Ive never had a response, so..the investigations must be great. Run hard and run fast...Filter out ascend staffing on indeed and zip recruiter and monster if you want to avoid what every single bad reviewer here has to say, because it's truth. All the negative reviews have likes and tend to follow an analysis that spells out "unprofessional" I come from the world of data and statistics and this clearly is a trend they do not wish to change the course of. I would suggest hiring a process improvement specialist or consulting company that specializes in resourcing and social interaction. Cause I can honestly tell you, I will never work with this company until it becomes a reliable source and not a commission hungry spam network. Stop shooting yourself in the foot and start a community focus group within your staff. They need to know who they're talking to, how to talk to them and how to encourage a return experience. Your reviews are your data, data does not lie. Best of luck.

Awesome place to work!. I have been working for Ascend for about 2 years and they are fantastic. Always on top of communication and letting people know what they have available. If you are reliable they will go above and beyond to find you a good fitting job.

ZERO STARS! What an unprofessional group of people parading as a staffing agency. I jumped through all of their hoops in January and was not given one lead, and I am a highly qualified person. Fast forward 8 months...I have received 3 texts messages from them for janitorial jobs in the last 5 days. I am in business administration. Tried to call the Longview office to be taken off of their list and was hung up on 4 times. Why is this place even in business?

I have worked for the Longview,WA office for almost 2 years. The office staff, especially the morning staff, create a very high tension environment. The only real problems i had there was with staff. ***** Workers***** 8 out of 10 people leave for mistreatment. But they will make it out to be your fault. For instance I was on a job for over 3 months and needed a day off to see a doctor. Didn't know how it was going to go so i said depending on what happens it could be permanent. They didn't ask why i needed the day off. She said"I'm going to make it permanent." And hung up on me. That job loved my work even gave me a .50 raise. So when she said that i took it i was fired. They will hand anyone the keys to a van to drive you WITHOUT. 1. CHECKING THEIR LICENSE. 2. A DRUG SCREEN. 3. WITHOUT KNOWING THEY HAVE NEVER DROVE ANYTHING BIGGER THAN A SMALL CAR. This morning the first time van driver admitted he was nervous about driving the big van. So after she hung up on me, yes i called her some bad names because she hung up on me. And because of what that driver told me he was nervous, i got out of the van and walked home. They told unemployment i was let go for cursing at staff. I was already fired. They twisted it to mess up my life. Trust me, they have made a bigger mess out of peoples lives. But good luck. Prospective Customers Because of how the workers get treated you may get a worker that isn't very happy. In turn it will be hard for them to make you happy. OWNER I have had the pleasure of working with employees from your office up north. From what i seen and heard the offices are like night and day. Wish i would have went to your other office first. PS. I'm not there because you're Manager doesn't know how to act professionally and got angry because 3 people didn't show up that morning. I did. Then when i said something about needing a day off SHE GOT HOT HEADED YELLED AT ME AND HUNG UP. But it's my fault. I'm cool better off now. As i said. I was there just short of two years and didn't see any of the benefits he has listed. Good add. Funny but good.
