Being from Argentina, Patagonia Grill and Cafe used to be my favorite restaurant. I've ate here several times in the past and loved the food but haven't been back in almost two years. My husband and I called for reservations on a Friday night and we were able to get in within 20 minutes. I should have known since this place had no wait and the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday evening that our experience was not going to be pleasant. The food here was horrible. We ordered the Argentinian Mixed Grilled Meat Platter and asparagus. The meat tasted like it was in the freezer for months and tasted like freezer burn and the chicken was dry. The blood sausage and chorizo were excellent though. The asparagus was $14 and they listed it as "jumbo asparagus" but it was regular size!! If I remember correctly they also used to serve you a salad before your meal and they used to give you a small wood tray with warm bread and butter, and now they don't offer either with your meal. We spent almost $200 with tip and we were very disappointed. We will not be returning.

Ventured to Patagonia Grill for dinner tonight for my first meal back in Houston. I chose the trucha a la parrilla aka grilled Argentine trout. The trout itself was seasoned inside the body which was a revelation. Perfectly cooked and prepared. It came in a bed of sautéed spinach, Roquefort cheese, and mushrooms. The menu offers a diverse array of Argentine specialities - I was definitely tempted by the morcilla and empanadas.

Dined with friends who are regulars. The owner and chef, Sebastian, is as amazing as the food. Any menu choice is a great one. Amazing!!!

It all depends on what you order.
Yes. Call them for their current specials
Try taking a look at the pictures. Men wearing jeans and a nice shirt. I'd avoid shorts or t-shirts.
