Contacted about multiple coyote sightings very close to my neighborhood and, although they were friendly, they offered no genuine help. Apparently it is their policy to do nothing unless a coyote encounters a human and is aggressive. Nothing else. While I understand this is the desert, coyotes are encroaching into neighborhoods - near a school -because of drought and lack of food/prey. We pay taxes, so I would respectfully request some assistance. Instead I got “trim shrubs where prey would hide, feed pets inside, monitor pets outside, and use a horn to scare them.” Okay, shrubs - check, food - check, monitor pets - I work to pay those taxes - so no go, and sure - I’ll run around wielding a horn confronting coyotes walking down my street in effort to protect citizens and pets. Three sightings within 24 hours, and that’s the advice? I’m sorry, but not impressed. With this increase in coyote activity, I would expect the department to develop an actual action plan to protect the state’s residents - not just the obvious, boilerplate suggestions - something that would involve their active participation perhaps? As I said, staff was friendly; I view this as more of a leadership issue to address.

Sorry we can't help you with that question. That is for National Parks. You'll have to find out from the National Park Service.
That's a great state for hunting fishing
That’s something you would call animal control about, not NDOW.
