Infidelity This service is intended for couples with a high level of commitment who have a past emotional affair and/or physical/sexual affair. There is a delicate and careful process regarding infidelity recovery, and services are highly structured by the treating clinician to contain the intensity of the deep aching hurt, racing and/or repetitive worries of the betrayed partner. The program also aims to help with feelings of unrelenting guilt/shame, self-criticism, feelings of failure, and that one can never do/be enough. which is often a hard part of the unfaithful partner’s experience. Our Approach is Structured in the Following Way: 1. Formally cut off contact with the affair partner 2. Discovery: The unfaithful partner works closely with the treating clinician to tell the entire detailed story of the affair 3. Betrayed partner assesses their comittment to the relationship 4. Rebuilding friendship and trust 5. Developing an infidelity prevention plan 6. Discharge from treatment
