They are sweet and definitely take care of us in need of help

I've never experienced so many "snot rockets" when waiting in a line. The food available was ok. The main problem is keeping the clientele at bay until its their time to go through. Line up at least an hour to an hour and a half if you want to get in soon after they open. Extremely long line outside if you get there "on time".

A great resource when you need it. Food stamps don't always cut it unfortunately especially with the rising food costs. Used to volunteer here and donate through school, and now I come here when I go through rough patches. Thanks.

Gives out a lot of food. Good enough to last either a week or a few days. Depends on how big of a eater u are and how well u can manage making meals. Also a variety of deserts. U Dont get to pick what deserts but most likely you'll enjoy what they have to offer. Excellent helpers

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month
Negative... New years day. Monday is the next open day.
Yes, they can always use more volunteers! There are opportunities to volunteer at both the downtown Olympia and Lacey sites, as well as at the warehouse in Tumwater, at pop-ups, etc. If you need more information, send an email to the volunteer coordinator (address on website).
Thanksgiving basket will be given away at the Thurston County Food Bank on Monday November 25, 2019. Regular food bank hours.
Monday November 25th from 11 to 3
Yes you can I have a Tacoma address and I go
It is typical for a weekday. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday we reopen from 5-7pm. Last Wednesday is was net very crowded.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. ,Monday Wednesday and Friday.
Yes but it help to have id
No, they are closed on all state holidays.
Its much faster now due to covid-19 than it ever has been in the past! Basically I just went for my first time with a friend yesterday and because it's drive up it took all of 10 minutes from the time I got in line until the time that we left. We didn't even get out of the car cuz that's the way they prefer it. Just have an ID or something that you like a piece of mail with your name and address on it at least. Good luck! it's totally worth it!
If your homeless or don't have a car you can walk up and get your food if you have a vehicle just get in line and you don't even have to get out of your car they will open your trunk and put all the food in for you
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am until 3pm
You must have an ID for all people over 18 in your home. They also ask for the children.
No
I know they used to do the third Wednesday of the month where they opened up for a second time at night something like 4-6
They are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from about 9 or 10 to early afternoon. They will offer you commodities when you check in based on your account. It's best to go after everyone gets their ebt in the beginning of the month and either really early or mid day to avoid long lines. Takes about an hour for waiting, check in, and shopping.
Bags and boxes go a long way! Please donate them.
They told me no Christmas baskets this year...why were they dishonest to me?
Monday 11/19 is the actual day. Open 11-3. Tuesday 11/20 to families doing Baby Day. Open 11-1. Wednesday 11/21 (day only) available while supplis last open 11-3. No service on Thursday or Friday due to the holiday.
Its a food bank not a store .you never know what you will get.
I don't believe so. There are many satellite locations to help accommodate people on the days that the downtown location is closed. The times and locations are available online. Hope that helps.
If you qualify for commodities you could pick up that box on the off days which could hold you over until they open.
Not that i know of. You could give than a call and ask them. They are very friendly.
Not yet. We are developing our bumper crops and focused on emergency sanctuary and safeplace needs this year.
If you are a registered client of the food bank, yes, you may allow someone else to pick up your food. I believe you need to send a note with them. Also, the Food Bank has evening hours on the second and fourth Wednesday evenings each month. Those evenings they are open 5pm until 7pm.
Its mondays, wednesdays & fridays 11-3 and every 2nd and 4th wednesday also 5-7. Full visits are 15 per year partials are 10 and supplemental (just bread and pastries) are unlimited.
If you and your friend call; supply them with their name and DOB (any other information they have in file they might need for confirmation) they should be able to set you up as an alternate/ caregiver so you can pick up food for them whenever they can not
Yes they do
Do they have a monthly calender showing their operating hours.
