This is definitely not a place I would consider working. I have interviewed here twice and consider this company to be a scam based on those two interviews. In 2019 I was offered a position paying slightly above minimum wage. I was new to the industry so I understood the low-ball offer. However, a competing company offered me 25% more, which I accepted. I once again interviewed with this company, today. To start they wouldn't tell me about any of the posts, shifts, or pay until I came in for the interview. This seems like a waste of their time as well as my own in case there was no good fit, but I did oblige and came in for the interview. As suspected, my time was wasted. Here is what prompted this review of this company... The state of Illinois requires security officers to be trained. I paid for my state-required training before entering the industry. Every company in every industry trains its employees to adhere to their own specific policies and procedures. However, unlike reputable companies, Advanced wants the employee to pay for their orientation. Basically when you do the math, if you are hired to an armed officer position with Advanced, you will be working your first week for free. No thanks, slavery is illegal.

I contracted with Advance Security to provide some personnel for traffic assistance on 01 May 2022. From first contact the management was understanding and ensured me their response would be timely and professional. They did not disappoint me. They provided excellent staff and supervision to the traffic assistance I required. Their supervision was on point and ensured our needs were meant. In my professional career I have worked with many security companies. None at as competent, professional and responsive as Advance. They were a pleasure to work with and I will hire them again as needed.
