This post office location has refused to forward packages mailed to an old address, forwarded here. Seriously, I spoke to Dayton Downtown USPS (the package address it should get sent to) and they made it clear its this one that's kicking it back. So I lost a $250 item ebay return thanks to these clowns' laziness and incompetence, resent it to my buyer who promptly stole it from me. Are you kidding me?? I don't know what the heck is the matter with you but I'm going to the next town over where items don't disappear and they have better things to worry about than nickel and dime-ing me and not doing their job out of spite.

I am the administrator of an estate. I presented my Letters of Authority, and was refused a key to the deceased person’s mailbox. I was told to come back with paperwork “showing the address”. I did, and then on my second wasted trip the “Postmaster” Maggie Hamm REFUSED to honor the court order from the Greene County Probate Court by saying she would not give me a key to retrieve the deceased man’s mail! She said the post office does not deliver to “empty houses”. And exactly how would you know the house is empty?! She claimed that since I had put on a forwarding request, the carrier would have already forwarded the mail that had built up in the box to me. I have to say, no, I don’t buy this. I asked Hamm for a written policy snd she said she “might” forward it to me. Given the extremely poor training, and complete lack of customer service, I’m not holding my breath. I’m also guessing there’s no such written policy. I’m guessing the rules are made up as they go. They kept asking me how I was “related” to the deceased man, and I kept telling them the Court appointed me.
