Requested and scheduled an in-person court date. At the last minute it was rescheduled to a phone trial. I mentioned this to the prosecutor before the trial began but it was ignored. My evidence, which I kept track of, was largely disregarded in my case. When requesting the officers vest camera footage, he laughed and said he couldn't be expected to keep track of something like that. The court ruled against me based on this officers word when I had evidence proving this officer was lying under oath. As a judge, you shouldn't be allowed to talk about how much you miss and adore the officer you have a personal relationship with during a trial. It is unethical and I think it affected the outcome of my trial. If I had money to hire a lawyer to right this wrong I would, as I'm sure there are recordings of these phone trials. Something needs to be done about this before -more- people are taken advantage of.
