My mother lives in the assisted living side. She has been there going on 4 years. They take really awesome care of her. Very clean and friendly environment. They do many activities and take them on two trips a week if they would like to go. So they aren’t just shut ins.

Run. They use bait and switch tactics to get people to work here. Starting pay is horrible but they promise pretty good step ups at 90 days with certifications exc. Then they absolutely do not follow through. Lie about putting those raises in and then never do it. They change time clock punches and then deny access to paystubs. They say they will rotate holidays but then dont. They are severely understaffed on off shifts. Do not bring your loved ones here.

Our mother lived at Vancrest. She also passed away during this Covid mess so we couldn't see her hardly at all. Just like every other nursing gone , Vancrest is short on help. All of the staff that I observed there were working hard. They need more Aides in my opinion. I wish all nursing homes could find a way to meet some emotional needs of their patients. But overall we were satisfied with the care mom received there.

This facility is absolutely scary. My grandmother was here for the last part of her life. When she reached an end of life situation they called hospice and only hospice. Didn’t call any family to tell us. A week after we Barried her hospice was calling saying they are sorry for our loss, and how she was in an end of life state(we weren’t told this). My mother was confused as to why the nursing home would call hospice and no family. So my grandmother had to be transferred to Eaton er where she later passed. I can’t help but think if we were told she was at end of life how much more we could have done for her. If only they would have called us. Don’t trust you’re loved ones with these people.
