I went to Grandview ER to be placed there but they transferred me to KBH because Behavioral was removed from Grandview. I was the for (5) days due to a suicide attempt. The o my issue I had was they roomed me on my 2nd day with a substance abuser that was detoxing. So everything I did irritated him. I was afraid to take a shower in the room because he got mad at every noise I made. I don’t thing mental health patients need to be paired with patients with mental and substance detoxing patients.

yes
Tom Reed, you could easily be describing me about 8 months ago. I of course do not know your exact situation or your wife's. However, I felt impelled to say this - she may ( if like me) feel betrayed, completely alone, abandoned, threatened and truly frightened. Imagine that monster under your bed as a child boldly walking g through your front door announcing that hes not leaving, theres no one to help her & his purpose is solely to create chaos, disorder pain & suffering to her. He wants to tilt her world. She needs compassion, her reality is very real if only to her. God Bless you& your wife& children
You can apply for assistance through the hospital, apply for temporary Medicaid or see if you qualify for a sliding fee payment.
My wife was sent there with prescriptions. She is not receiving the prescribing I sent and KBMC is not responding to any requests from the patient. Nor do they respond to me.
Yes 14 and over only
As a medical professional I can tell you what you will need to do is take the person to the ER. Once there they will medically clear the person and send them to the appropriate facility. But to answer your question KBMC does not take pediatric patients at this time. When Dayton children's opened there Psych wing all cases got shifted to there.
They dont accept direct admits. You have to go to Kettering Medical Center and be seen first. They are then able to admit you to KBMC.
If your going for treatment you have to go to the Emergency Department first, even for voluntary treatment. They will have you remove all jewelry. It will be returned.
I believe you have to take him to the ER and they will evaluate him first.
If you have his HIPPA password then your best bet is to call the facility and speak with his nurse. Depending on why he is there he may not be allowed visitors yet. If you don't have his "password" then the facility will not confirm or deny him being there. If this is the case you will have to wait for him to contact you.
Will they transfer to a more long term treatment facility.
I had to have my child assessed at the emergency room. You can call them and see what they say though.
They will give you coping mechanisms and a stable environment. They will do their best to help you work through your issues, but they can only do so much as far as actually helping. It all depends on whether you are willing to let yourself be helped.
It really depends on how much work you put into the program. Not only that but how you feel. Generally speaking the stay can range from 3 days to a week. Once you feel safe and have made progress, you leave. Nothing to hard, it’s a good program.
Children is 6:15 to 7:30 0adults 5::30 to 7:30 time is same all week including weekends
Generally yes. Limitations usually are from the insurance provider.

Yes I have gone as a youth with ADHD. They completely ignored my ADHD diagnoses and took me off my medication.
Okay so it's not just me. This is truelly the worst doctors office I have been to in the Kettering Health Network.
No the patient will need an evaluation at the emergency room now due to eval center should b closed
KBMC is a facility offering both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for adults and adolescents.
