My husband was a resident at Marysville Care Center for 2 years - he received the best care, wonderful people that talked to him, sat with did puzzles he loved, wonderful meals, listened to his Irish singing, encouraged him to play his harmonica with joy and made him happy. The non-denomination church is lovely and sing-alongs and treats after on Sundays. I cannot say enough good things about the physical (as well as mental) care he received. Marysville Care Center has our utmost gratitude and respect as a family and we so appreciate the personal notes of condolence sent at his passing! Thank you Marysville Care Center! - Barbara Kinney

This place is directly responsible for my husbands death. He had been on life support and was unable to swallow. He had a feeding tube inserted until he could have rehab to learn to swallow again. The first day there they were FEEDING him. I pitched a fit and they told me they knew what they were doing. The next morning I went to see him and he had a temp of 104. It took them a while to even find a thermometer. I had to call 911 myself as they were not even competent enough to know this was an emergency. He was transported red light and siren to Providence in Everett where he passed away from a lung infection caused by inhaled food. Respiratory failure is what the death certificate said

This place surely leaves alot to be desired, I actually have concerns about the patient care. I had a nurse by the name of Libra, what a head case should be fired, the first night with her was horrible then there was Beverly, I won't even try to explain her, but she's way out there, I would rather DIE than to go back there again..... Please shut it down

I would like to let you know that unfortunately this place has been a major let down to our family. The nurses are very kind and do their best but unfortunately the management has underpaid and overworked the nurses so our family members are neglected having a patient sit in poop for 2 hours. Our family goes their daily to help our family member get healthy again yesterday when I went and watched they left my family.member sitting in a jacket in a hoist for 30 minutes and had her sit in the shower room for an hour because she was going to shower her and they wanted to train people ...And instead of knowing ahead they took time.. this made me sick. When you paid this kind of money for care you expect the best if they need to practice on people practice on themselves not on somebody's body that is paralyzed partially .Have flu .. Phemonia..ecoli..and is uncomfortable. Every day when we get there our family member is in tears not only does she complain but her neighbor validates everything that she says I don't understand just because they are up to standard law stating that that is acceptable they need to go above and beyond you would be shocked to see what caretaking laws are ok. I do want to say that this is probably a good place for somebody who needs light physical therapy and not much caretaking but the majority of people here need help with bathing and bathroom... they need help in wheelchairs there for this place from what I see and witnessed is wrong place for u. The biggest problem is bathroom. My family members roommate waited 45 min to wait to go to bathroom. They forget meals. Forget patients in chairs. The nurses are so sweet and work incredibly hard....But when my family member suffers daily how do we accept this.... just because the nurses are great does it mean because they are trying hard that I shouldn't have a problem.. that's why I blame Management . The lady who help run the place was so rude to me and my family she tried to tell us that this was normal and it is okay to leave people how they leave our family member. I hate to write reviews especially that are bad about a place but when I see how she affected my family members just trying to help and be supportive in my heart our families in one of the going through one of the toughest times ever to have someone like her follow you around and discourage you from being part of recovery family member is wrong if she needs to be admonished...Please do your homework go in and sit and watch for yourself see if you would approve for your family member . Another thing I learned was to call and ask what ratio from nurse to patient is at any Center that you are thinking about using don't be worried about asking and going and seeing for ur self.....Ask if cathater is the nurse or do they have plans to get off cathater ASAP.
