Every time we're in this area, we make sure that we stop at the Oyster Bar for lunch. We love the food, wine, view and service. It never disappoints. Already looking forward to next time.

Until 1931, Chuckanut Drive was part of the Pacific Highway used by people driving from California to Vancouver. There is a much faster road today but it doesn't offer glorious views like the old route. Nor does it have a fine restaurant overlooking Samish Bay oyster beds. Of course the molluscs are a menu feature but there is plenty more offered. Our starter was a delicious combination of seasonal greens with walnuts, blue cheese, red onions, apples, and grapes with a maple cider vinaigrette. I had the seafood stew, which was fine except I found the pistou sauce slightly overpowered subtle tastes of the broth and the proteins. She had the sable fish special and found it attractive and well prepared, but a little too busy with numerous additions. Sometimes less is more when serving high quality seafood. This is not fast food, nor is it inexpensive, but the total experience is worthwhile.

This is my family's favorite restaurant and we always come here when visiting my parents. The view is perfection and such a lovely fine dining experience every time. The staff are all such professionals and everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. If you want a special night out with family or an upscale date night, this is absolutely the place! Make a reservation for sunset.

Amazing views from this cozy, but elegant historical establishment. Great service, smaller, focused menu lends to high quality and consistency. The oyster selection couldn't be more fresh, and the Smoked Halibut Chowder is not to be missed!

The Oystee Bar follows all current guidelines to keep everyone as safe as possible. Currently that includes open windows to provide adequate ventilation during phase one so please dress warm.
I don't think they have specialized menu for gluten and dairy free.
The restaurant is awesome, but small. Not sure how many can be seated outside, but that size party would pretty much take up the entire inside seating. They do not have hard alcohol. Parking is limited, or along highway, but usually ok. I would check out their ability to handle that large of a party.
