Amazing customer service!! The manger Lacey is wonderful! She goes above and beyond her duties to make sure every customer is taken care of and has the best service there. It was truly refreshing to see a Manager genuinely care about not only her job but about the customers and be so awesome at it! I definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone! My partner and I had a unit there last year. We were referred by other renters there. We only had trouble with ice in the lot. It would cover the main drive from the gate to the last row where our unit was. We didn't have a vehicle at the time so riding our bikes or walking to get to our unit was sometimes treacherous. Each of us had fallen a couple times. After several months we found a notice posted on the door off our unit informing us that we had to vacate the unit by that Friday. There was no reason listed. The next day my partner got a call from the manager saying he violated the contract by entering the property with a female, going inside a building and entering an open unit and being in there for 20-30 min. My partner told the manager that was not him, that it must have been the friend who helped us move into the unit. Per our contact, we were still responsible for anyone entering the property with our gate code. He argued about not getting a warning before being told to leave, especially since there had been no complaints or violations since we moved in. He pointed out that we are only available a few hours a day, and that contact should have been made on Monday, not Wednesday. We were left with two, maybe three days to find a new facility and move. This was about a couple of weeks into the month, and we weren't going to get to stay to the end of the month. I went to the office the next day and talked to the manager, Sybil. She said we had to vacate because of what happened and added that some trash and cigarette butts had been left in the unit so it had to be cleaned up, which was news to me. I told her I was planning on moving a unit from across town to her property, that we wanted to combine the current unit with that one, and would not give out the gate code to anyone. She wasn't willing to agree to that at the time, and said to check back in a few months, then gave us an extra couple of days to move. I appreciated the extension. I was frustrated by how the whole situation unfolded and that we were not given a warning before being kicked out. I've had storage units, and had not encountered anything like this before. Aside from that, and the ice, LifeStorage is a good storage facility. The rates are affordable. They are located just off a major intersection so they are easy to get to. The gate hours (6a-10p) are great for those who can only get to their unit early morning or evening/night, and the office hours vary. The office is closed on Tuesday. It's not a bad storage place, we were just unfortunate who we trusted to help us and have our gate code. We have not made the same mistake since then.
