I can't even begin to describe my disappointment. Please take your money elsewhere. I've spent more fixing my floors.

Questions & Answers

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

Our employees understand that our clients safety is of the primary concern. Of course we start with proper equipment, such as masks, gloves and hand sanitizer when visiting a client's home. Each morning those who work for us must respond to a series of questions that assesses their health. Finally, we coordinate with our clients to minimize both casual and necessary contact. In all instances the client's level of safety and comfort determines how we proceed.

What should I use to clean my woo floors.

Hi, Laura! We've written an article about deep cleaning your wood floors which you can find at the Mr. Floor website: https://www.mrfloor.com/deep-cleaing-a-hardwood-floor-mr-floor-chicago-2/ Let's start by not what to use. Don't use a bucket of water and a sponge or mop that you wring out. Too much water is very bad for your floor! Don't use any "oil soap" cleaner or steam cleaner. Do use (you knew I would say this) Mr. Floor Wood Floor Cleaner and a microfiber mop. Use one microfiber mop pad to dust the floor before you clean. Use a second microfiber mop pad to clean the floor with our spray cleaner. Call us if you have any specific challenges with your wood floor!

Hi, I use to have carpet on my concrete floor,we're changing to luxury vinyl plank. I'll be putting down plywood sub-floor first.Do I put vapor barrier underneath the plywood sheets? This is on first floor with a slab. Please let me know. Thanks Jay

Every situation is different and we'd have to visit your location to know for sure, but there's no downside to putting a vapor barrier underneath the sub-floor

Is it OK to use a steam mop on a hardwood floor?

No, it is one of the things that can damage a wood floor the fastest, especially if it's a hardwood floor that was finished on site. The steam is forced into the gaps between the boards where there is little or no protection. Water is the enemy of wood floors.

I have high gloss laminate floors - my former cleaning company used, I think, a waxed-based product on them. On some parts, now, there is a film that I have unable to remove. Can your company help restore them to their former condition?
