Land lord does not care about you!! During the spring and fall months the building has full control over when the air conditioning is turned on or off. This results in THREE to FOUR WEEK periods where your unit will be above 85 degrees for the entire day. I have never felt less important and more like exploited than I have living here. Dangerous for pets and the elderly! This is inhumane living conditions and it baffles me that they can legally do this. On top of that, you can’t even turn on the fan connected to your thermostat. They have total control over your unit and you have to suffer through the heat for long periods during fall and spring. It is currently 45 degrees outside, but still 80-85 degrees in my unit. Move somewhere else!!!!

First month so far: Biggest issue is that they do not turn the AC on until June 1st. Yesterday the temperature in our apartment reached 90 degrees, of course heat exhaustion starts at 80 degrees Im not sure how this isn’t a huge liability for them. The big thing I don’t get is, your electricity is not included in your rent but you have limited control over your heating and AC. From sometime in October till June you have no ability to even turn on the AC. We called and asked about the AC and they just said there was nothing they could do because the city requires that they have the heat available until June 1st. That’s not exactly how the law reads… It has gotten so hot and humid that the doors in the apartment and the front door to the apartment have warped and no longer close without force. One other weird thing: if you want to play pool or ping pong in the lounge you have to ask for the pool cues, balls, everything. Just kinda odd.
