Listen up Tenants of first Key. If you have repairs that they are not repairing. Get the repairs done yourself and deduct it out of the rent. IT IS YOUR LEGAL RIGHT! Hit them where it hurts period!

I’ve been living in a home rented out by first key homes for about 6 months. By FAR worst experience I’ve ever had with a leasing company. On our move in day, we were provided with an incorrect code to enter our lockbox to get our keys for the home. I ended up having to contact a locksmith at 9 o’clock at night because no one on their team, including “the emergency Maintance” line was answering. After paying $350 out of my own pocket to have the lock smith get into our house (we had paid movers sitting and waiting for hours) I called the office to get a reimbursement. After speaking to Sarah and Latavier, it seemed as if I would be reimbursed. Unfortunately but unsurprisingly, I have not been reimbursed. On top of it I have been trying to contact Latavier and Rita Johnson for over a month, each time leaving detailed voicemails and I have not gotten any response back. They also never sat down with us and had us any sort of orientation and laid out the responsibilities of the tenant and responsibilities of first key, this lead is to not having our trash picked up. They explained that all utilities will be included in the rent portal. NOT THE GARBAGE. When I called to ask about that, they literally had no idea and it took them two days to give me an answer on who is responsible. Furthermore, more the state of the house itself is subpar at best. The drywall is unaligned, when we’re first moved in there were earwigs everywhere. Everything in this house and with this company is LOW quality. I’m only now posting this because after months I haven’t heard back from anyone on our situation. I dread ever having to submit a maintenance request with this terrible track record. After countless calls and emails this is my last resort. DO NOT RENT A HOUSE FROM THESE INCOMPETENT PEOPLE

The leasing agent (R Mitchell) does Not communicate. I called, left voicemails, and emailed for over a month and a half about a home. The website instructs anyone with housing assistance to contact the Leasing Agent before applying. I spoke with a rep of First Key Homes that assured me that my messages were being sent to Ronald. The price of the home was reduced and someone else applied. The issue appears that there might be a preference of renters that don't receive rent assistance, and discrimination against those that do.

Not yet,but I feel one coming soon ....wouldn't be surprised. I have yet to get a response. Seems like all they do is take ppl money. I'll never forget what they did to me and their own employee was just as shocked.
