The receptionist, I assume his name is Brian since that is the name on the contract he handed me, raised his voice and in a stern tone told me I shouldn’t have been driving over 55mph after I asked for a partial refund for trailer sway. I interpreted his stare that followed his scolding as confrontational. I remained quiet, walked away and looked over my shoulder thinking he may follow me outside. This happened after I returned a car hauler I rented from the Orland location. When I reserved the car hauler I was told the hauler would be newer, but it wasn’t (IMO). Needing to leave town in a few hours and trusting I was given a safe trailer, I accepted the situation and moved forward. One of the gate/ramp brackets were partially broke causing me to move the 4th gen fbody forward considerably to close the ramp/gate in a safe position. There was too much weight towards the front of the trailer causing trailer sway starting at ~50mph, not ideal at all being passed by semi-trucks. Highways traveled had 65mph speed limits. When I dropped off the trailer I explained the circumstances to the receptionist. I added that the swaying started at 50mph and continued through 60mph, which is when the receptionist scolded me. I can’t recommend this place or their car hauler to anyone.

I've been renting from rental max for over 15 years,orland mostly I've seen alot of yard employees come and go of which everyone was always helpful and willing to go that extra mile helping me load up and unload whatever it was I rented,the counter staff was just as knowledgeable and friendly,I mostly deal with Sharon and Dave and both are great if ever a problem arose they where there to resolve it,whether it was on the jobsite or when I brought back the equipment,they always took care of me,as long as Rental Max is still around I'll rent from them for business and personal use, thank you Sharon,Dave and crew for all you do
