As a new RV technician at Barrington motors I have been very impressed with the service my bosses demand! If they treat new customers like they treat their employees there is no reason to look anywhere else purchase and maintain your new or used RV.

We are 2.5 months into “working” with Barrington RV service and it has been a frustrating experience to say the least. Back story: private sale, 2000 model, we knew approximate cost would be high, and lead times weren’t super quick. August 12 - Dropped our RV off for inspection August 24 - Got an emailed estimate for $7,500 and verbally approved it over the phone. Again, had an idea of what cost would be, and weren’t upset at amount. We’d rather pay for a good experience/good work, and the reviews led us to choose here. Advised work is bring started. Sept 2 - I call, got an emailed updated work order, half the work seems to be done, verbal commitment of completion by Sept 19th. No discussion about parts being on hold or missing, no discussion about any delays. Sept 19th - I call, new service receptionist named, unsure of what's going on. Explain our timeline and just asking for updates. Sept 25/29/30th - I call, get told our RV is being worked on, no estimated completion date. They needed to check if they ordered parts, when the parts were going to be in, then that the parts are not available and that they will do workarounds. Oct 4th - Get told our RV is being worked on, no estimated completion date. Oct 20th - I call, get told that our RV got put on hold last few weeks due to all other RVs needing to be winterized - no one discussed this with me ahead of time or explained that it's their business practice. Throughout these 2.5 months, I've talked to Bryan, owner, briefly as a message taker, Greg, service receptionist who is no longer there, Bryant, new service receptionist and Andy, Service Manager. I honestly just don't know what to do anymore. We have to initiate all communication, anyone we do talk with seems to not know any status, and now can’t help but feel like we’ve been put on the back burner for other customers (again, without any communication that it’s happening or why). I was hesitant to post this review because there is still work left to be completed, but nowadays it seems like this is the only way to get noticed/answers. I will update this review if/when contacted regarding it and/or service is “hopefully” completed.
