Great facility but the turf is very worn. I hear that they are planning to replace it next year.

Do they still set up an ice skating rink here in the winter, like they did when I was a kid?

I only use McAvoy during the summer for softball, but I know it is used for school sports like lacrosse, soccer, and football. The whole field is AstroTurf now, so I don't know about skating.

If there is no one on the fields, are the fields free to use or do you need to reserve it?

If open and no one is using, there wouldn't be any issue. I would just be mindful of getting into, too much if someone is coming to use it and you have to move a bunch of people or things.

Is there a phone number associated with scheduling for the field? I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to work out a time to use the field
