I witnessed Housekeeping not using gloves to clean restroom and my family member's concerns not being acknowledged during changing. Jason is not very concerned or compassionate. And Noma or Norma doesn't seem trained properly. This facility needs re-training on infection control (using and changing gloves throughout the shift and acknowledging patient concerns by asking short simple questions.

We chose this facility because of more recent glowing reviews. We had to choose a place long distance. Make sure you go and tour this place and note that they don't have phones in the rooms and spotty reception for cell phones and it takes forever to get the desk. The nurse never called me back after I asked her nicely to check on my mom. They did very little PT/OT with my mom, delayed her pain meds for an hour and even gave her lower dose than prescribed of anti-anxiety meds. She had a panic attack at night and did not get timely help and we were never called about it. Nurse asked my mom what she was taking instead of checking her chart??? Go to Texas Rehabilitation Hospital instead or get home care and outpatient rehab. This was not a good, well-staffed, attentive-care facility.

My MIL was in Garden Terrace for 2 weeks. Nothing good to say. She is now back in Texas Health because she was dehydrated and UTI. No would feed her like they said they would. This is not a good place. Plus, my husband bought her all new clothes for rehab and someone stole all the shirts.

They’ve been taking great care of my grandmother. It’s good to know she is somewhere safe and she is happy.
