I’ve bought 2 vehicles from this location. In 2020 I bought my wife’s Audi Q3 and it was practically new so I didn’t expect any problems and I didn’t have any. The reason I’m writing this review is because of my 2nd purchase. It was a 2020 Jetta (6 speed manual transmission) that I bought in 2022. The biggest concern I had was that it had already had 4 owners. That’s a lot of people potentially learning how to drive a stick. Sure enough, 2 weeks after the purchase, the clutch went out. This is not something that would be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and I did not buy an extended warranty from CarMax. I was told when I bought the car that CarMax has a comprehensive warranty if anything breaks in the first 30 days. It was a $2,500 repair, and much to my surprise, CarMax paid for it without a massive hassle. I know they lost money on this car, but I will continue to buy vehicles from them.

Originally, the process seemed easy and great. We were able to pick our car and have it shipped to the Killeen location. The car arrived and we went in for a test drive and begin paperwork. We completed the paperwork up to financing. We were told to come in the next day and they would complete everything within an hour due to the fact they were about to close. We agreed arrived during lunch break the next day to complete everything. The lady they gave us took over 3 hours and caused issues with work. This is just to get financed, all other paperwork was completed. We finally complete everything. This purchase happened on 8/19. It’s currently 10/24. The temporary tags have expired and Car Max is now stating that they were unable to get the car registered properly. We were pulled over and told due to expire tags the car would get towed. Car Max has been zero help in getting anything resolved, they just speak in circles and jump the call from one another. They won’t extend the temporary registration for the issue they caused. DMV won’t extend either without proof it passed inspection, yet we’re not allowed to drive it or it will be towed due to lack of registration. This has been the worst car buying experience ever. I have purchased many vehicles and traded 2 I for this one and I’ve never had so many issues.

It was horrible took my vehicle in to get something fixed and did not fix what took it in for they dont listen to what the costumer issue. The check engine light they did not even check whybit was on they just reset it know uts back on and i had to take it back in so they can fix it again and take time off work again i will never buy a car from this car dealear agin and i will make sure to tell every one i know exaclty what they made me go through so they dont go there to go buy a vehicle im acualy returning the truck back because i dont trust the service department to acually fix the car correcly they might just resest the check engine light again.

You can search the website if you find one that you want in Texas they'll ship it to your local store for free with no obligation to buy just for you to look at it and test drive
Then why has it been five days since they started inspecting my car they just keep saying it’s an inspection
