Edith - yes we do board. We usually have room on a weeks notice but that may not be true around a holiday, etc. The cost is somewhat dependent on the size of the dog.
That is possible. When they go from the warmth of the house to the snow they can get ice formed on their paws. If it continues to bother her we should take a look and be sure it isn't something else.
They make farm calls, I'm sure you could talk to them. Great people.
