It was a nice park for the grand baby, but I with there was a way to keep the big kids out whole there are little kids there. There were bigger kids running all over the playground equipment, with no regard for the small kids wanting to play on the equipment.

There are no costs associated with visiting Cunningham Park. If you want to reserve a shelter for an event, it is $40/day (you'll get the shelter from 7am - 11pm). There is an admission charged to get into Cunningham Aquatic Center. For those operating hours and times, please visit www.joplinparks.org.

Hi, Dallas. The reflection pond at Cunningham Park is a memorial pond and is not stocked. The pond across the street at Mercy Park is larger, but we do not stock it. Thanks for your question. -Joplin Parks and Recreation
Hi, Chance. There are no bodies of water large enough for fishing in Cunningham Park. There is a small pond in Mercy Park, but it is not stocked. Please note, a valid Missouri fishing license is needed to go fishing.
All of our parks are dog-friendly. Dogs need to be leashed at all times and we ask all owners to please pick up after their pups.
Shelters can be reserved - otherwise, they are first come, first served.
