Love the library! It's so modern and clean. The staff are welcoming friendly and always eager to help. Great selection of books and resources. The only thing that I would add is another scanner.

Hi Natalie, Thanks for your interest in the Library! We prefer volunteers to be at least 16 years old, but depending on the tasks assigned an exception might be made. It's best to reach out directly to Library staff about your interest. I'd recommend contacting Beth Snow, our teen services librarian, so she could direct you to the appropriate staff member. The Library phone number is 417-623-7953. Thanks!

There are several Japanese audiobooks - if you count those designed to teach you to speak Japanese. I found that answer by consulting the online library catalog.
If it's an email, you would just log into your email on a computer here and then print it off. We cannot print directly from phones. If you don't have a library card, you can use the computers for 15 minutes per day for free, $1 for 45 minutes, and $2 for 1.5 hours. Card holders in good standing can use computers for up to 1.5 hours per day. You can call the Computer Lab 417-623-7953 for further info.
A few folks have hooked up their gaming system in a study room (non-reservable) if a room is open that has a TV monitor.
Prints are $.10 for B/W and $.25 for color. With a library card in good standing, you can use a computer for 1.5 hours per day. If you have no card, you can use one 15 minutes for free, 45 min for $1, or 1.5 hours for $2. If you live within the city limits of Joplin (as defined by the City) there is no additional charge to get a library card -- your property taxes pay for your card.
