We’ve been coming here for years but haven’t been since 2019. Came tonight and while the atmosphere was excellent, our 260$ bill was not. Why, on top of a tip, are we paying a “service charge” of 40$? We were a party of 3 so not a large party at all. Absolutely ridiculous.

Lobster was superb, Filet Mignon was tasteless tenderness (was a heavy hint of soy sauce), and the bill made us laugh - for how ridiculous it was. For over $100 each for a main, a side, and a drink each (2 person), you would expect everything to be amazing, but that was not entirely the case. The chef was great - performance and friendliness were great highlights, but that is only part of the reason we came all the way to this type of dining experience. The Filet Mignon, a choice cut of meat - as exceptionally tender as it was - was mostly tasteless. What a shame, for such a high quality cut, it would have made a world of difference to marinate or season it some more (and that is not to say to add anymore soy sauce to it either). The saving grace of it all was the chef themselves, the lobster - credit where due, it was exceptional great, but not enough on its own for the whole - and the drink. Had all the food been great, and the suspicious service change not been included, we could have seen a much different review.

I really want to give this place a better rating but I can't. Although the atmospheric was great and very enjoyable, as soon as the cooking as done they were quick to ask if we wanted boxes and to bring the check, without asking if we wanted dessert or anything else. That's not the reason I'm rating so low. My rating comes from the fact that we had dinner for two, that costed almost $200, and I got minor food poisoning symptoms shortly after getting home.
