Most people dread going to the license office. But here is always a joy. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I was getting the run around from another office. Here they helped me get everything I needed done in just a few minutes. I will definitely be doing all my business here from now on.

I lost my title and I never transfered it in my name how do I get it in my name

Angela Beasley | Sep 4, 2022
Nevada License Office | Sep 4, 2022

If the application for title was never processed into your name, you will need to contact the previous owner of the vehicle and have them apply for a duplicate title in their name and then reassign the vehicle to you again. The previous owner will need to have their signature notarized so they will need their state issued ID with them, the fee would be $16.50.

How much is it to get an ID?

Haley Sirkel | Nov 3, 2021
Nevada License Office | Nov 3, 2021

If you are over 70 years of age $12.00, most other ID or "Non-Driver License" transactions are $18.00. One of the things to think about are if you will want a Federal Real ID or a regular ID, this site can help: https://dor.mo.gov/drivers/real-id-information/ There is some information, even a video regarding the differences and what you will need. Call us if you have any questions about what you'll need to bring with you (417)448-5705 we look forward to helping you!

if I have an out of state title do I have to get inspection before transferring title to my name?

Lisa Gaskin | Nov 3, 2020
Nevada License Office | Nov 3, 2021

You will need an Odometer/Identification inspection if you have an out-of-state title on a Motor Vehicle. If you need a safety inspection to license your vehicle you can use it, if you don't need a safety inspection ask any inspection location for an "ID/OD".

My son traded his 1998,GMC for a 1973 Chevy. What would we put as sale amount?

Kurt Redman | Nov 4, 2017
Nevada License Office | Nov 3, 2021

This questions was asked before we assumed operation of the Nevada License Office and not answered, it's a good question though. If you trade vehicles you should use an even trade bill of sale and you won't have any sales tax due on the transaction. This form will be helpful: https://dor.mo.gov/forms/1957.pdf If you have any questions just call us (417)448-5705, we look forward to helping you.
