Edit to add: Dr. Johnson performed my surgery and after only a couple of days I'm feeling more or less normal. Everyone involved was wonderful. I'm so grateful I can no longer be forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term against my will. I feel like I'm finally free! I'm a 35 yo married woman who does not have children nor do I plan to have any. I recently asked my GP for a referral for a tubal ligation because I lack interest in being forced to give birth against my will. Since the GOP is coming for our birth control next, this is the obvious best choice for me. I was able to get an appointment for a consult right away and it took maybe 15 minutes from start to finish. I was offered an endometrial ablation in addition to tubal ligation because without birth control, my periods are pretty awful. I have been on birth control since I was 15 for that reason alone. This was a completely painless process and I already feel a great sense of relief knowing I will soon be free of having to worry about an accidental pregnancy. I know Colorado is a safe haven for reproductive rights, but I do not see a future without Roe v Wade in place where abortion doesn't become federally banned. My husband and I should be able to have seggs without having to worry about me going to prison for terminating an accidental, unwanted pregnancy and this will make that happen for us. Thank you Red Rocks OBGYN for your dedication to women's health and for helping me secure my reproductive freedom. I'm so very grateful.
