I want to start off by saying once we started going to Shaman Modifications we won’t go anywhere else. The passion and love at all of the locations is bar none. My son mentioned he wanted his ears pierced so we made our way down to the 7th location and he had a consultation with Jason. He answered all of my son’s questions. Walked him through what would happen and helped him pick the new jewelry his ears would be sporting once his homework was completed. After my son completed his homework we walked in, and Jason made him feel excited. “He remembered me!” was what I heard on the way home. After filling out all the documents and Jason walking my son through the steps again we made our way to the chair. Jason was so kind and patient, he answered every single one of my sons questions, some multiple times. He let him know we didn’t have to pierce his ears until he was ready and really helped calm my sons anxiety. My child was so happy when he saw his new jewelry! If you’re looking for a place for your children, there is no other location I will recommend. Or even for yourself! Don’t hesitate. This is a good one.

Came in for the first time to treat myself for Halloween and was not disappointed! I got my helix and septum done. I appreciated the communication Jason provided throughout every step of the way. Shaman is a comfortable/ sterile environment that I would definitely be coming back to for any future piercings!

So far, I've been poked by Frank and had jewelry changes/stretches with Jason and my experiences have been nothing but fantastic! I’ve always been happy with the quality of product and service at this shop. These guys really do look out for your safety and health first and foremost. Jason took great care of me and took his time guiding me through various options and was so helpful with his perspective and insight so I could make the best choice for my investment. He had excellent bedside manner while inserting the jewelry for me-verbally keeping me up to speed with what he was doing through the whole process. I didn’t feel rushed or feel like an inconvenience/annoyance which is a refreshing change compared to many other shops I’ve visited. Thank you Jason! $40 each plus post and Jewelry
It depends on anatomy and type of jewelry you wish to heal it with. The piercing fee is $40 per piercing + the cost of implant grade titanium jewelry. So best thing is to come by and see us and we will show you your options :)
We do. Our biggest suppliers are Anatometal, BVLA, LeRoi, and Industrial Strength. Many jewelry companies have always been internally threaded which we have some stock, but most of the companies have moved over to threadless which we have a lot of as well. Hope this helps.
No, all they ask is that you wear a mask and sanitize or wash your hands upon entering.
You definitely can. When you get to the studio, there are clear instructions at the door. If we hit the maximum capacity in our lobby, we will have a stand out that has further instructions on texting us to get in the queue. Once we text you its your turn, you can come in. You have 5 min to enter so there's no hold up for the clients behind you. Once inside you will talk with a piercer (not a counter person) who can answer your questions and direct you to jewelry we suggest. Please feel free to bring in reference photos :D
Yes we are doing oral piercings. And we can accommodate for a person with a mask exemption but it is by appointment. You can schedule with Pineapple by emailing him at pineapple@shamanmods. We would do it as the last appointment on a day he is taking appointments at the East Side location. Contact him and he can set you up :D
We do not carry silver as it can oxidize and isn't the best for piercings. It can also stain the skin leaving a darkened ring around the piercing site. We do carry titanium barbells that are silver in color but they are MUCH safer to be in your body long term. if you are looking at straight barbell, they tend to run around $45ish per barbell. All of our jewelry is made in the United States and they do come with a lifetime manufacturers warranty with it. If you are looking at a labret style stud they start at around $28 on up and we do have a lot of gold options and even white gold options too.
It really depends on what you're looking for. We literally have over 600 different jewelry options for a stud. Each one carries a different price point so it depends on what you're in the market for. We have titanium studs as low as $30 to $35 & gold options starting at $70 or so. These are prices as of January 2020 and can change
With the jewelry we use, they are hypoallergenic and MOST do not have any issues with our piercings on clients with sensitive skin. Our gold is also very hypoallergenic and works very well in your body. The majority of what we use goes on an implant grade titanium post which is the same grade if you were to get screws and bolts put in your bones. If its going to work in your bones, it should work for you piercing :D In the 20 Years I have been piercing, i had only found 3 customers that had a true sensitivity and reaction to our jewerly, but they have it with all metals including the studs on their jeans which they have to cover with clear nail polish or other coating. So if you do not have to do that, i'm fairly confident you'll do fine with our jewelry :D
You do not need an appointment. It is first come first serve. We do take our last walk in at 7:30 pm.
You definitely can. You do want to be sure to try to find a mask that won't put pressure on a fresh piercing before you come in
We do not initially pierce with a hoop as that takes much much MUCH longer to heal especially with our current mask culture. We initially pierce with a stud but we can pierce for a hoop as placement can make a hoop look good or not so good. So just let the piercer know that you are wanting to wear a hoop in the future and they will place the piercing appropriately for you.

We always recommend having your receipt emailed to you when we check you out. Search "shaman" in your email and look for the email from Clover. It will have the gauge, length, date, and who helped you on the receipt. We fit the jewelry to the person, so just like shoes, people need different sizes so its not the same for every client.
We are walk in only. We ask everyone wear a mask and you can bring 1 guest with you, but not more than 1 since we have to limit the size of our lobby. We are open noon-8pm with our last call for walk-in piercings at 7:30pm. If there are more than 6 customers in the building, please text the number on the door or the sign to be placed in our virtual waiting room. Thank you so much and look forward to working on you!

There is an initial piercing charge (I believe $40) and then you also pay for the jewelry. They use top quality jewelry so it can be pricey but I promise it is so worth it!! I always go shaman when I want another poke!
We have both Rings and Studs available. we have many styles to choose from, but we have more studs than we do ring styles. We have over 350 different options at each location :D

Sterling silver oxidizes and and can stain the skin. We do carry implant grade titanium jewerly which is similar in color, will not oxidize, much safer and cheaper than sterling silver. Hope this helps :D
