As a bird novice, I cannot express how great Dave, Lynn and the rest of the staff are. They were professional and personable in explaining the differences between birds I was interested in and their individual care needs. They truly care about matching each customer with the best fitting bird. The deep knowledge and love of birds that runs through this establish is evident when walking in and best of all, its a one-stop shop for everything your bird could need! If you are even remotely interested in birds, it is worth visiting and supporting this local business.

Wonderful place that really vets the people that are coming in looking for a companion. Marnie and Dave as well as the other employees are not afraid to tell someone that they may not be experienced enough or a good fit for certain birds. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. They have a back room where you can meet the larger parrots and an additional room they usually has cockatiels or conures to meet with as well. You can tell that all of the birds are really well cared for. We've picked up some family members over the years to add into our flock, they sometimes take in rescues like our boy Chief (Hawk-headed Parrot) that was previously used as a breeder bird and was very fearful and missing toes, had nerve damage and a heart murmur. We love him to bits! We also got Kirsikka many many years ago (Monk parakeet) and recently added Claudio (sun conure) to the flock too. He's gorgeous with his red factor and is so gentle and talkative. This is the only place that sells the giant ladders that our Umbrella Cockatoo and Congo African Grey LOVE! Marnie hand makes a lot of the little toys as well. Price ls can be "higher" than regular pet stores but the quality is way better and the birds are treated a thousand times better. They work with the birds and a lot of them are a bit more receptive to you because of it.

I absolutely LOVED this place if I had to rank my favorite parrot store this place would be my number 1#. I have went to a couple parrot stores over the years this one has to be it I have went here twice and had only the best experiences.I plan to go there again if I can because I live so far, I had an even better experience a couple weeks ago me and my family came around to see it again the store had amazing employees that were amazing my dream bird is a galah and they had two babies I had impressed them with my skill with parrots so they aloud me to hold one of the babies that I just had a click with,my family didn't come to get a bird and had spent quite a bit of money on the trip already so we did not get the baby female but plan to come back and maybe see if we can get her but that's not for until a little bit as we left with some perches for my budgie at home we talked with a man at the register for a while (very nice man) before we left but this experience is now core memory of mine.

Yes this location has a nice selection of toys. I purchased a couple of birds through this amazing store and I buy their toys as well! Highly recommended!

I have always found the people here to be knowledgeable, kind and always make time for their customers. I'm not sure what issue you take with their hours, but I have never had a problem making the time to go when they are open because the level of care they have for me and my birds is worth it and their prices are great. Even grooming prices are a steal for how gentle they are and how they trim and they always seem to be able to get my birds in in a timely manner. I have lived all over the US and have visited MANY bird shops and Exotic Birds is and has always been my favorite, because of the owner and his staff, because they have such a love for birds and care about bring their bird owners the best products and services they can. So even if I had an issue with their hours, which by the way most small business everywhere are having to adjust right now to be able to stay in business, mine included, it is well worth the small inconvenience to plan my trip accordingly. Nudge & I love EBD!!

Dont know if they've moved yet but they will be moving soon. I can't remember exactly where but it's just a few blocks down the street. There was a sign on the door with their new address when I was there early last month.
