Absolutely horrendous. They say they’re so incredibly understaffed that they can’t get to your paperwork and are well over a month behind. Can’t give a valid timeframe, yet expect paperwork to get turned in on time. I submitted everything on time. Called every day for them to tell me that “We haven’t assigned anyone to work your case yet. It could take up to 30 days.” It’s been well over 30 days. Then I called yesterday and they told me “We tried to work the case on the 26th and you didn’t have everything submitted.” I was on the phone with them on the 26th and supposedly, nobody had been assigned to work on it because “people still haven’t received benefits for august and the initial filings are easier for them to process so the recertifications get piled up.” If you don’t have the manpower to make a phone call, why not put a pause on the recertifications so you aren’t backed up? It makes no sense. The food banks give you rotten fruits and veggies and they don’t care. They even asked “Is there someone that can help you out?” Obviously not, which is why I called. Then if someone does help you, they ask for documentation and pause your benefits yet again. It’s a game to these people. You get told something different every time you call. Then when you walk into the office, the staff is giggling and texting on their phones and putting their makeup on at the front desk. It’s ridiculous.

You guys wanna know why you're so under staffed? Because you're incredibly rude and hateful to people. I wouldn't want to work with you guys either. I get that I misread my due date and accidentally turned my paperwork in a few days late, but it seems at this point it wouldn't have mattered because my application would still be sitting on your desk while you sit texting on your phones with your best friends and get mad at callers because they interrupted your conversation. Meanwhile my account is overdrafted to cover bills and my husband and I just had to go to the food bank so we could make sure our kids are fed. Apparently there's nothing food stamps can do to provide any temporary relief at all. If I don't get anything by October I will be filing a formal complaint. Please do your jobs and feel free to learn better customer service while you're at it.

They are one of the worst offices to represent the state of Colorado, they are RUDE, and INCONSIDERATE, they demand you to submit your paper work by the due date, so as not to loose your benifits, you do and they refuse to work on it. So you end up not getting your so called benifits. When you confront them they make nothing but excuses one after another.

I just feel like they should treat everyone equal they discriminate very bad and it’s sad the things you go through to get benefits..

You can walk in, but there will be a long wait, so expect to be there several hours. It would be best to make an appointment, and ask what paperwork to bring so you don't have to come back over and over.

A person from my past seems to think that my daughter may be his and wants to have a DNA test done. What steps need to be taken on my end for this to happen through social services? Thank you, Melissa Rodriguez
