Apparently New West Physicians does not, as a matter of policy, prioritize their patients who have just been released from the hospital- you have to wait for an opening in the schedule along with everyone else who may just be coming in for routine matters. This was confirmed by the office manager at one of their Rose Medical offices. To me, this is unacceptable and does not really align well with their marketing claims about patient care, etc. On a positive note, once I did find a doctor who could see me, she was terrific and very helpful.

New West/Ascent Requires payment of your copay at the time of service. This would be fine except every time I have been there, I have subsequently received a bill for the same copay. It is impossible to get this rectified with their billing office, nor does it help to call the physicians office directly. They require the patient to provide a copy of their receipt for your original payment, which is not provided unless you request it and should not be necessary since they should have record of your payment. I believe this is a fraudulent practice to get people who either do not keep good records or did not obtain a receipt for their payment to double pay. It’s reprehensible.

I’ve now spent 6 months attempting to work with their billing department to correct an $86 charge that “they can’t seem to find”, though I’ve provided explicit documentation that this was paid back in August 2021. They’ve sent to collections and are giving the bare minimum to get this resolved on their end. I enjoyed my visit with Dr Metros, but there is absolutely no chance I’ll be going back to this office, and I encourage you to find somewhere else as well.

My wife and I have received astonishingly low quality of care coming here. The staff regularly forgets to relay results to us, regularly forgets to send referrals, dismiss the symptoms we tell them, and get annoyed when we ask them to perform the bare minimum standards of their job. Horrible primary care. You would be significantly better off going elsewhere
