Due to the billing I unfortunately have to leave them a bad review. They scheduled 7 appointments with me. I went to the first 3, and got an almost $2000 bill for routine teeth cleaning (which they had a dentist that couldn’t be covered by insurance do without telling me), and getting 4 cavities filled. This is when I have insurance! At first I thought it was annoying I had to wait so long between appointments, but it actually saved me because I’m guess for the work they wanted to do I would have been at over $5000. The problem was that they do take a branch of my insurance but not my specific one. No one checked before my appointments. And then I got the bill in the mail. This then led to months of me talking to the billing department trying to figure out what happened and me having to make multiple calls to my insurance too. I’ve checked with other people, because I’m not an expert, but apparently your dentist is supposed to check what your bill will be before doing the work. But the office never even implied that was an option. I was just going to my multiple appointments thinking everything was working out fine with my insurance. The billing department people I talked to were helpful and kind. And they did get the bill down to under $1000, but this was still money I had never expected to have to pay. I had gotten the most expensive dental insurance I could specifically thinking most things I needed would be covered. But instead now I haven’t been able to get the rest of my cavities filled due to the money and time it took to deal with this. And then I had to move out of state, so now I don’t know what Ill do since my insurance was specific to Colorado. I could have had everything finished before I left if I’d just gone with a different dentist that had handled my bills properly. If it hadn’t been for the huge surprise bill I received, I would have actually left them good reviews because the actual experience of the visits was good. But this experience was actually incredibly stressful.
