It’s ridiculous and a slap in the face of City of Flint residents to charge such an absurd amount each month for water no one trust to use!! Flint, you have to do better for your residents, and this is not it!

I have been waiting 9 days for water service to be turned on...had to pay $75 turn on fee...another $ 409.00 for a water meter and valve they require...customer service people seem to have no clue and you have to deal with 2 different dept ( one you cant talk to?)CITY get your act together!!!

C.A.- wouldn't be needed If your City hired Competent People... Not just 3ntitled People.
racists all of them!
I am sorry that you had a bad experience with customer service. Their phone number is 810-766-7015. Please ask for a supervisor when calling.
Thank you for your question. Without the address I cannot address any specifics, but based on your question, I assume the water has been off over a year. The City of Flint Water Service Center requires a "check and advise" to see what is needed to turn the water on. This MAY include having a meter installed, a check & waste valve (turns water off at the meter) and a risor (pipe that connects to your meter). Depending on what may or may not be needed, these items will need to be paid for and water applied for at which time the installation and turn on will be scheduled. Water will not be turned on the day the check and advise is performed.
I belive it a $50 water deposit fill out the paper work just takes a few minutes
You have to go down there and go to the walk up window...I understand but this is how it is to get results..
Customer Service Center 1101 S Saginaw St Room 102 Flint MI 48502
Our hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
As long as you have everything in place to turn on the water, that is all that is required. If you need a water meter, risor or check & waste valve that would be an additional cost.
You will need an affidavit from your landlord, $325.00 (affidavit fee, connection fee and deposit), valid ID and no outstanding water bills in your name. All paperwork then turned into customer service in city hall at which time your turn on will be scheduled.
Yes we do. There is a fee to use a debit card. The charge is $2.00 per every $100.00 charged.
If you just want to change your billing address, you can call in your new address (810-766-7015). If you are wanting to activate new service at a new address, you have to apply in person at Customer Service office located in city hall.
There is no shortest time..
No they will shut you off without any warnings.
you may call 766-7202 to report illegal usage, all we need is the address
Christina, yes it does. If you are the owner, you will need a copy of your deed, valid ID, no outstanding water bills in your name and $50.00. If you are a tenant, you will need a signed affidavit from your landlord and a $325 deposit, valid ID and no outstannding water bills.
$325 you have to fill out a water affidavit if you are renting and it has to be notarized. If your a home owner it is $50
No there is not
