The rudeness of Maia was awesome! She badgered a potential client better than any defense lawyer. She commendably not only didn’t understand the issue, she sided with the employer in the matter. If you are looking for someone verbally attacking you, then ask to speak with Maia, she will not disappoint!!

Disappointed with them, and I will not use their service again. Most common than not record of proof is more important than what people say, and they said this, and that, and didn't show or gave me any written proof of what was done!

My name is Jamee, I recently called Gold Star Law for some help. I spoke to someone from the office, I believe an assistant. I explained my situation and was asked a bunch of questions regarding what happened with me at my previous job. The next morning, that same girl called me back and she told me unfortunately the attorneys weren’t able to help me at that moment. I was given the info to go to the EEOC and start a case with them and was told once I received my ‘Right to Sue’ letter I could call Gold Star Law back. So, I’m with the EEOC currently and I’m just thankful that even though Gold Star wasn’t able to help me right away, that they directed me in the right path on how to get help. The lady I spoke with was super nice and friendly, called me back right away and explained in detail why the attorneys couldn’t take my case right away. Thank you Gold Star law, I will be a client one day soon.

There are certain circumstances under which an employer can, or cannot, lower an employee’s pay. If you call us we can talk about your specific situation to see whether there is anything we can do to help.
To find out whether you have a valid case we would need to talk to you and get a lot more information. For example, we would want to look at each promotion for which you applied and see who got the promotion instead and why they got it instead of you. We would also look how your employer has handled your time off for diabetes. If you call us at (248) 851-GOLD we would be happy to discuss this issue with you.
I would call their number and speak with them directly. It will be more discrete, and they, I'm sure, will have some means of helping you!
Sure on that one you might want to call Gold Star Law and ask them cuz that's exactly what they deal with his employment law
I would say no if you're volunteering your time the company cannot make volunteering mandatory but they can allocate mandatory time but you might want to call Goldstar or any attorney that can handle legal matters as far as employment or even better yet check the company policies themselves they have to have a handbook with their rules and regulations and their policies of what they can and can't do and if they're violating their own policies than you have them there I work for a company that did that stated you couldn't work more than 14 days in a row but they work everybody until everybody got tired and would call in sick I work 30 days in a row and beg for a vacation day
Give them a call directly and describe your exact situation.
If you call us we can discuss this is more detail to see whether you have a case that should be pursued. For example, we will want to know everything that makes you think your race may be a factor in failing to promote you and who is getting the promotions that you are being denied. Call us at (248) 851-GOLD so we can see if we can help with this issue.
Whether an employer can fire you depends on a LOT of circumstances. In general, Michigan is an at-will state, so you can usually be fired for any reason that is not an illegal reason. However, there are many exceptions to this. If you call us at (248) 851-GOLD we can discuss your situation in more detail and see whether there is anything we can do to help.
Whether this is legal will depend on how your commission is structured and when and how any change in commission payments was instituted. If you call us at (248) 851-GOLD we can discuss your pay situation in more detail. Please have your written commission plan or agreement, if there is one, on hand so we can get all the information.
I would call gold star. They can give some good advice
Generally, an employer is allowed to set work hours and change them with little to no notice. However, there are certain circumstances where this could be illegal, such as if certain employees are targeted for unfavorable job assignments based on a protected status or if an employee is unable to work certain hours due to a disability or religious restriction. If you call us we can talk about your specific situation to see whether there is anything we can do to help.
You need to call them directly. They are very helpful.
Proof is everything. But I would call them directly for something like that.
Yes, a company can change their policies. However, if an employee has no notice about a decrease in vacation time and acts under the assumption that there was no change with the policy, then there is a possibility that the employee is entitled to be treated like they would under the old policy since they acted in reliance on that policy.
Yes, but your damages you can recover are limited because your out-of-pocket economic loss is smaller.
Possibly! It is illegal in Michigan to fire an employee for refusing to do something illegal. Call us and we can talk about it!
