I have explored various segments of the AZ Peace Trail over the years, but mostly by chance. I haven't made an attempt to drive the Peace Trail, but have found myself on or near it on many adventures into the desert and mountains of western Arizona. The trail really does hit some incredible locations that could keep anyone exploring for a lifetime on the AZ Peace Trail alone. From low desert to high montane conifer forest, from the far north to far south, there really is no better way to see Arizona than this. Mind you, this trail is not for the faint of heart or any manner of low-clearance vehicle, and will put you through the harshest elements the state of Arizona has to offer. With that being said, enjoy, and be safe! The pictures in this review are compiled from my adventures over the years. They include a dynamic perspective of the environments you will encounter, and remind you why this trail is so unique.

Hi Barbra...the Quartzsite atlas is here: https://www.quartzsiteoffroad.com/off-road-atlas.html. Also the new Arizona Peace Trail Atlas is now available here: http://connectedhorizons.com
Most of the Peace Trail is BLM land, so off grid camping is legal with some regulations. We have ridden most of the Trail and will have all of it completed by two weeks time. I do recommend the AZ Trail, but make sure your vehicle is very capable and reliable. You will be out in the hinterlands for much of it. Good Luck...
Fall, winter or spring (summer can be quite hot). Just dress for the weather.
Yes, there's a club called the Arizona Sunriders. https://arizonasunriders.ridetrails.org. They have meetings the 2nd Friday of the month (November-March). The general membership meeting is held at 235 E.Ironwood St, Quartzsite at 10 am (information taken from the Quartzsite "Desert Messenger."
There are several places. Bullhead Parkway and Silver Creek Road will get you on it if you follow the road for about a mile. Bullhead Parkway and Desert Foothills Dr is a good place to start from that will get you to the bra & panty tree that leads to Secret Pass. Hwy 68 and McCormick Blvd is right on the trail but you'll need to run a couple miles of streets to get to the desert.
Mostly side by sides or 4 wheelers
You can get it on Amazon.
