Staff not very friendly and the pony ride takes place in a 50x30 area. Does not worth the money

Had a very fun time on the trails through the forest preserve! I was on Jake and he was a champ! Wasn't expensive at all for the value, memories and photos! We plan on coming back in the fall for the foliage.

What are the group rates? Also what's the difference between a trail ride and a private trail ride?

Peter Braun | Nov 2, 2020
Forest View Farms | Nov 2, 2020

Group trail rides are a public group of up to 8 riders and the cost is $28.00 cash per person/$30.00 credit or debit per person. If you have less than 8 riders, we may schedule additional riders for a total of 8. The private ride is just that, private. You can schedule up to 8 riders for that as well, but if you have less, that's okay. The private is just your group plus a guide. The cost of the private ride depends on the number of people you have, but typically is $38.00 cash per person/$40.00 credit or debit per person. All rides are 45 - 60 minutes and are guided. Reservations are also required for trail rides. Please call the office at (708) 560 - 0306 for more information or to make a reservation. Thank you

I was wondering what ages you would allow for a haunt to work? I'm interested in becoming a haunt!

Nathan Vaccaro | Nov 3, 2019
Forest View Farms | Nov 3, 2019

We take volunteers at 16, workers at 18. If you are under 18, a parent would have to sign a volunteer waiver. If you are over 18, you can get an application in the office or online at fvfarms.com. Thanks!

Whats the age group for the haunted hayride? I have a 4 year old, just wondering if it would be too scary for her?

Kimie Uhl | Nov 3, 2018
Okee Dokee | Nov 3, 2018

They have scary and not so scary. On the not so scary you drive by scenes but no one comes near the wagon. It all depends on your 4 year old's personality and experiences with scary things. On tbe scary hayride, scary crratures come right up to the wagon, but don't touch anyone.

robert fanello | Nov 3, 2018

I believe they will let you if you ask. And i know the horses love carrots . So you could take some and feed it to them. And their prices for riding the horses is very reasonable and they will even give you a lesson if you have never rode before.
