Had a great time here! Keep in mind that it's not horse-running or anything like that, it's just a nice relaxing *walking* horse trail ride. I felt like I was taken back in time and was able to really connect with nature while here. Our guide was nice and they take pictures of you at the end. They prefer taking cash if you're paying in person, so keep that in mind. You can also ask to go in the stable and look at all the other horses.

We used Memory Lane Stables for a community event in Chicago. The customer service was amazing, very responsive and attentive. The day of crew was very professional, caring and nice. I definitely recommend Memory Lanes for your horse back and petting zoo needs. The event was successful and everyone enjoyed themselves.

I reserved a trail ride for my family. We were all so excited. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst and traumatic experiences we’ve ever had. The staff was friendly, but very disorganized. We didn’t hit the trail until 45 minutes after our scheduled time. From the moment the horses came out of the stable, every one of them was aggressive and uncooperative. Two of my children almost fell off as the horses went wild only a few minutes into our ride. We requested to go back to the stable. I’m thankful to our guide for listening to us, taking control of the situation, and doing a great job at calming the horses. We are disappointed that we never got to enjoy the experience, but we are grateful nobody was hurt.

I miss going here soo much! I use to do community service and ride here. It's been years 💔 The last time I was there we had a trail guide (one of the kids who owned/ worked there with the horses) guided us around the forest preserve
Beginners and advanced are allowed! :)
Of course, but a soon you can see the horses for sure you want to ride them
Good place to go. 👍 Have fun.
I am 6'3 and weigh 365lbs and they gave me Big Dan. He is gorgeous and quite tall. Call them ahead and ask to be sure.
Everyday
I seen little kids on ponys being walked with a trainer. Their trail is shorter
So I went with my husband and for both of us was close to $60 and I do Believe they have lower rates for bigger groups. Overall the experience was awesome 👌
it cost 25/ hour and a 5 dollar fee for the ridng permit, i believe the 5 dollar fee is only once but im not sure
$25 for the rides and $5 for license
I believe the children have to be 11 and older to ride the pony
Yes,but we had a bad experience the horses got upset and we were almost thrown from them, so I wouldn't do the rain.
Yes, you have to call to reserve a time. You should wear shoes and long pants. No sandals or shorts .
I don't think so.
Better to call and get all the details from the stable management
There sometimes is share boarding. It depends on the boarders themselves. Also, sometimes they want experienced riders and sometimes they don't care. Kathy is really nice and will help you if you call.
