visited this alley tonight with some friends, the gentleman working the desk (young guy with multi-colored hair) explained to us that our lane we are sharing has 8 people on it so we will need to sit in the seats of the unoccupied lane next to us. we understood and sat there even though the people next to us weren’t really “sharing” the seats in our lane. halfway through our game, some people took the lanes we were sitting displaced in. we moved to the very corner seats closest to our lane also utilizing some of the chairs behind the lanes so we didn’t have to ruin our bowling shoes going back and forth from the carpet to the lanes.an employee (latino gentleman) came to us and told us we were sitting in the wrong spot, as i was starting to explain that the gentleman who assigned our lane told us we should sit there, a young lady, teenage with reddish hair, interrupted all of us and started telling us we need to sit on the carpet. she proceeded to start to swear at us and call us “dicks” because we were “stealing” someone else’s seats. i told my friends to just pack up our stuff and we can leave. it was a very disappointing experience and as someone who works in the service industry i don’t understand why this young lady thought it was appropriate to be hostile and argumentative towards us. i love to support local businesses and avoid going to big name alleys, but after tonight i would rather pay $100 a game at Bowlero then play for free at Elgin Lanes.

Honestly the most accommodating bowling alley I've been to in a long time. They are truly happy to help, and have kids shoes and balls (not every place has those).

Place needs to be updated to say the least & their hours are something else, closes at 10pm ! Closed Sunday ? That's ludicrous! How do you get clientele that way ? Hours are also a problem! If they were more involved it would help ! I see the owner does read some of these & I hope he reads this too ! Hey, nothing personal but you're letting the place down & it's getting bad ! I hear people talk & say the same thing ! If you're no longer interested in this establishment (& that's the word out here)sell it to someone who cares ! The place is going down hill fast !
