Love this place. Lots of beautiful flowers. I like the little trails and the bridges over the creek. Very nice and relaxing.

Very lovely park that we've come to twice for our family reunion. There are often wasps here so bring bug spray or traps if you plan to eat.

is the playground in close view from the shelter? Is the walking distance from parking lot to the shelter reasonable for senior citizens ?

Thanks for the question Atoi! The shelter is connected to the parking lot by a sidewalk, and the playground is easily seen from the shelter to see what the kids are up to. The park district is installing a playground designed for smaller children this year; it should be ready for play by late this summer!
