Found a little bird that fell out of the nest early, wasn't ready to fly and was going to end up terrorized by the neighbor's cats. It didn't have a great chance of surviving with us because we didn't have the time to closely monitor it with the proper nutrients and heat. I called West Sound Wildlife and they were so friendly and invited us over right away. When we arrived there were only two people there on a holiday weekend but they cheerfully and professionally took over the care of the bird and offered to let us be part of the release if he makes it. I do highly recommend supporting and asking for their expertise. Thank you!

An amazing resource for wildlife and the community. These little babies got another chance. Life matters.

Had a wonderful time viewing birds and talking to their handlers. The experience was amazing!

First time here, came for the Open House. Various birds of prey and other woodland critters are rescued by this facility. They are doing great work but are always looking for more volunteers. I love owls so I only grabbed pics of 2 of the owls in residence here. Next time I'll take more photos. They are currently conducting a capital campaign to build a new facility in Port Gamble.

Give them a call. They're very helpful. If nothing else, they'll provide guidance.
Contact West Sound Wildlife Center. They will come pick up the animal. They actually suggest to wait and let them handle any animals themselves.
We don't take in domesticated animals but do call the shelter. They might have some suggestions for you.
I reccomend bagging it/boxing it and putting it in the freezer until she can properly dispose of it.
West Sound won't come out, you'd have to bring it to them. But be advised, the shelter does not rehab deer -- they'll arrange to send it to another shelter.
They may take them, just call and check first!
