Absolutely disgusting. I thought this would be a great place to have coffee with my daughter-in-law and grandson, both of whom love cats. I’m glad we only ordered coffee. Once we went through the door to the cat room, the smell was atrocious. There’s no way we would have eaten in that room. It smells like seventeen dirty litter boxes (though there are only two). There is nothing that makes it worth it to breathe in that smell, but we’d paid for a half hour, so we stayed for a half hour. The employees know it stinks in there, but where they are, with a door closed to the cat room, it smells just fine. They wouldn’t work there if they had to breathe in that stink all day. And before anyone questions me, I have two cats. I am not intolerant. This place is gross. Also, there are few parking spaces. I didn’t see sandwiches or even pastries. Not that I would have wanted any.

I haven't tried much of their food, but let's be real here...you go for the atmosphere, to pet kitties, not so much for the food. 😸 We adopted one of our fur-babies from here, and we love him so much. Don't go to a pet store...adopt your next fur-child from a place like this!

I absolutely loved my experience at Tinkers! Such a cute cafe with incredible coffee. A must see if you are in Salt Lake even for a day!

The smell is so strong, I realize it’s a cat cafe but the smell is revolting when trying to eat or drink food. Not enough seating in the cat room. The atmosphere feels weird.

I was just there and someones kid was stressing the cats out and they all ran in the hole and maybe 4 were still out and sleeping 2 of the 4 seemed upset and didnt want to be touched i think an employee was out but the kid was trying to crawl in the hole and wouldnt stop waving toys in there face when they didnt want to play i love this place snd will continue to give them business but people really need to supervise there children better
Just saw an article should be open by nov. 4th
Same time, 11am.
Hand sanitizer and a bathroom for hand washing available in the cat room. Masks on unless immediately eating or drinking. Room capacity very limited. Separate room available for those not there for the cats (coffee and snacks).
The number will vary depending on factors like cats getting adopted. We saw about 10 cats
Emphasis on the cat experience plus some owners close certain days for religious reasons
To get to the area with the cats, you'll need to pay. I recommend making a reservation beforehand.

Most of the cats are available for adoption. When you get there, there is a wall of pictures that shows you which ones.
Yes, they keep adoptable cats in one half of the building, and the cafe itself on the other half. You do have to reserve a time for the cat side though.
